Scapegoat

I have a great friend

Who bears every single brunt of mine

I have a great friend

Who takes responsibility

For the poor decisions that I make

And when it is easier for me

Not to have to explain

My great friend is there to take the blame

I have a great friend

Who shoulders my reputation

Keeping it from falling into tatters

When it matters

My great friend does not even know

That my great friend is my great friend

As my great friend is otherwise known as

my 'scapegoat.'
