Oh, how powerful the sea
where I once ruled the waves,
Captain of my ship, but now
I am too frail to swim or stay afloat,
I need you.
In the middle of the cruel sea of sickness
lies your hand, held out
to support me
your fingers are clasped and tightly grip
my hand
In case I am swept away
by the cruel sea of sickness,
Which may swallow both my mind and body.
Sometimes I am fearful and anxious,
And you tighten your grip,
You give me hope and reassurance
For me, you make many sacrifices
And my eyes reflect your selflessness,
Strength and commitment
And in my heart, I say
Thank you, every day
I appreciate you more than words could ever say
Without you, where would I be
But in the depths of the cruel sea.
