Mobiles on the train

It seems to me your hearer has tumbled

Down a dense and hollow well

As your voice gets louder and louder

My ears are ringing like a bell

I’m not concerned with the lies he has told

Or how the deception may unfold

I’m not worried about the sleep you have had,

What you ate, or what drives you mad

What does concern me are my aching ears

My journey is marred, and I am close to tears

Alas, your conversation has ended as you proceed to exit the train

Now there’s an end to my disdain

I have reclaimed my peace again.
