Someone called me a superhero
Yes, quite rightly so
Who would have believed those doors would have closed?
They nipped both my head and my toe
I was proud to have made it, in a fraction of a second
My audience impressed by my ability
But I heard a slam
as my feet became jammed,
my audience viewed my so-called agility
Stood by those carriage doors
I managed a pretentious smile
My head is now throbbing as my toe starts to swell
But at least I have suffered in style.
The next day brings a startling shock
As I board my early morning train
I see the same people as yesterday
They catch sight of my bandages and my ankle sprain.
