Lost your way

Updated: Mar 30, 2023

No Father to steer your wavering arm

No role model to shield you from thoughts that cause harm

No sound advice to keep you on track

No happy memories on which to look back

Looking for a figure, a means of restraint,

A desire to belong, a home quaint

No clear vision, but compromise

Hidden emotions when someone dies

When feelings of loneliness are ever so strong

When seeds of bitterness are the title of your songs

When the path to badness has become so long

Where do you belong?

You will not turn back, as you must be strong

You will not ponder, innocent lives lost for long

You cannot show this life course to be wrong

But could life be changed if you changed your song?
