Growing old gracefully

There was a time

I used to dance

I used to skip

I used to run

There was a time

I used to climb

I used to swim

I used to fly

There was a time

I used to play

I used to trek

I used to pay

There was a time

I used to hold

The cup of youth,

but now I am old

There was a time

I knew no grey

Now I embrace youth,

with each passing day

There was a time

I would roll in the grass

But now, take pride

In my free bus pass.
