Being a parent

I’m embracing responsibility and nurturing with tenacity

Preparing you in the pre-school years;

I am teaching you the alphabet and showing you how to write.

Reading your bedtime stories every night;

Wiping tears, plasters in hand, a spoonful of medicine

With a gentle command

Preparing you in basic skills for life;

A tiny person, so innocent and sweet

Dependent on Mummy to drink and eat

while you make our family so complete.
